What does your next chapter look like? A note on life transitions
Why it's okay to not be ready yet, and why the conversation always comes before the decision.
The question I love asking
Whenever someone calls me, whether they're ready to move or just wondering, I ask the same thing: what does your next chapter look like? Not “what's your budget,” not “what do you want to buy.” Just a conversation about what's changing and what they're hoping for.
The answer tells me everything I need to know, and it's the reason most people call in the first place. Something in their life is shifting, and they're trying to figure out if a move is part of it.
You don't have to be ready
Here's a secret: most of the people I work with aren't sure they're ready when they first call. Ready is a feeling, not a checkbox, and it rarely arrives before you start talking things through.
That's why I say it on every page of this site: you don't have to be ready to buy or sell to have the conversation. Just curious is a perfect reason to reach out.
What a conversation costs
Nothing. That's the part people have the hardest time believing. A conversation with me commits you to nothing, follows up with no one, and puts no pressure anywhere.
The most valuable thing I do for clients who aren't moving yet is give them a clear picture: of the market, of the process, of what they'd need to do to be ready whenever they decide the time is right. When their chapter finally turns, they already know the story.
When you're ready, I'll be here
I became a Realtor because I love the moment when someone figures out what comes next. Whether that's next month or a few years from now, my door is open, and so is my phone.
Take care. Talk soon.
